The coolest guy on the planet?

Do I really think I'm the coolest guy on the planet, or even the coolest guy in the UK? No, haha, of course not - this is just my attempt to get back towards the top for the SEO competition a certain web marketing guru set a few years back.

So what happened?

Originally, I became the 20th coolest guy in the planet in Jan 2005, on google. I held this position for a few weeks but then there was some kind of mess up when uploading the page after some changes, I didn't notice, and uploaded a blank page, lol, OOPS.

A few weeks later I was back up, I did a bit of backlinking, but mainly on page SEO, and I got to no1 for the coolest guy on the planet on google uk, and no6 on google.com for a worldwide search.

I held these positions for a while, so I stayed cool for a few weeks - then started getting warmer ;)

As more & more SEO consultants & web marketers obviously with far too much time on their hands, put in some decent effort that I just didn't have time to keep up with, I let it slip.

Plus, not long after this, some time in 2005 I stopped offering professional SEO services (apart from a few key clients) and concentrated on running my own businesses, so I just forgot about the coolest guy competition all together.

Now, in 2008, I've got back into to SEO full time. I've realised that there's a lot to be said for sticking what you're good at - I spent the past 5 or 6 years tearing my hair out running my own companies, trying to manage stock, staff, overheads - and even had to pay people to SEO my own websites as I didn't have time to do it myself! Nightmare!

So now I'm back doing what I love, and what I'm good at, SEO.

The Coolest Guy In The UK

Just under 2 weeks later, I am officially the coolest guy in the UK! ;) Well, I'm no1 on google UK for "the coolest guy in the planet" anyway, which isn't a bad effort within 2 weeks.

I'm still the coolest guy in the UK woohoooo!
I'm now the 24th coolest guy on the planet, and 17th coolest with one of my ezine articles.

I'm the 10th coolest now for a worldwide search on google.com - excellent! Actually I've been here for a few weeks now, but I've been too busy to come here & edit the page ;-)

I've been no1 & no2 (second place is with my blog)on the UK now for a good couple of months. I've not done a great deal of work with this to be honest, not had the time, I just spent a bit of time in November, and the odd little update when I've had the time.

My clients, a company who produce canvas prints, thought it would be funny to swap my head with that of Westlife singer Brian Mcfadden. ;-)

Am I the coolest guy in the planet, I'm not sure about that, actually I'm probably one of the coolest in terms of temperature, I'm in the UK and it's cold & wet here!

The Coolest Planet

The Coolest Planet in the universe is Pluto. Even cooler than the UK there!! About -400 F. It's so cool because it's so far away from the sun, 40 times further from the sun than the planet Earth is!

I didn't just look that up on Google, honest ;)
